Move Over Paula Deen...My girls are ready to take over!

Teaching my girls to sew is something that I find great joy in. I remember as a child watching my mom and grandmothers sew. Time spent with my mom as she would teach me. I think I just enjoyed spending the one on one time! However, the love for this age old craft is what I hope to pass down to my children and grandchildren(If my kids would hurry up). Sewing has become a dying art. Hopefully I can change this one girl or boy at a time. Yes, Men can sew too! I admit I have been very neglectful at teaching our daughters a whole lot about this beautiful craft. My plan is to begin regular sewing classes at our house. Hopefully making many great memories with my children!

This past week our first project was making aprons for their cooking adventures. Maybe over time they can make a few aprons to put in our Etsy store! I took them both to the fabric store and let them choose the fabric for their aprons. Hopefully they didn't catch the fabric bug to much! They did a great job and I look forward to watching their talents grow.

Now to teach them to cook like Paula Deen!
